Position Title: Director of Youth Ministry (part-time)

Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, an active, vital congregation in the western suburbs of Chicago seeks a part-time Director of Youth Ministry (DYM). Faith has a long tradition of excellence in and a strong congregational commitment to youth ministry. The DYM will:

  • work as a part of a ministry team
  • will have primary responsibility for senior high programs
  • provide leadership training for youth and adults
  • take a relational approach to youth ministry
  • encourage and facilitate involvement of youth in entire congregation
  • provide opportunities for youth to grow in faith and in their calling as servants

College degree required; training in youth ministry desired. In addition to strong relationship skills, the DYM should also be skilled in planning, administration, and leadership. Position Title: Community Programs Manager

Concordia Avondale Campus is a nonprofit organization serving children, teens, adults, and seniors on Chicago’s northwest side. We are seeking a Community Programs Manager who will be responsible for developing and managing Concordia’s community programs for teens, adults, and seniors. You will help identify and develop relationships with partner organizations, develop programs and activities, lead marketing and outreach, and schedule staff, volunteers and outside contractors to deliver the programs. The Community Relations Coordinator develops and initiates an agency community relations plan which increases outreach efforts and community involvement in key market areas as determined by the strategic marketing plan, and to effectively communicate the Concordia Avondale Campus mission to the public. Responsibilities also include managing financials and to help pursue funding.


This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits requiring a minimum BS degree with experience in new program development, staff and contract management. Position Title: Director of Contemporary Music Ministries

Christ Lutheran Church (41 S. Rohlwing Rd., Palatine, IL 60074-6459) is looking for a director of contemporary music ministries.  This is a part-time, year-round salaried position. Responsibilities include directing the praise band at the Sunday morning contemporary service, at least one weekly rehearsal with the band, selecting music, and scheduling special performances or events. The worship space has a new sound system, equipment, and words and graphics projection capabilities. Christ Lutheran Church has committed and talented musicians and an abiding interest in keeping our contemporary music ministry current and well-coordinated with our worship needs. We are looking for a person who has the musical skills necessary to teach parts, organizational and administrative abilities and positive people skills. Performance experience is a plus, but not necessary.
