Collaborating to do God’s Work in This World
The Metropolitan Chicago Synod is committed to fostering unity between all people for the sake of the world. We encourage the activity of ecumenical life in our congregations and communities, and work to enhance the public commitments of this church in Lutheran, ecumenical, and interfaith discussions.

Together with the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Chicago, our synod has developed a covenant to foster ecumenical understanding and collaboration:
